  CuliDataBase is a user-friendly utility to manage your culinary recipes. A simple click with the mouse lets you put ingredients on a shopping list. Recipes can be scaled up or down to meet a different number of servings and they can also be illustrated by importing pictures of dishes. When scaling up or down, not only weights and measures are calculated but also the single or plural form of the ingredients is taken care of, so that '1 bay leaf' will become '2 bay leaves' or vice versa. |  RightWord is a popular word game that is also useful as a language learning tool for young kids. The fun of playing it is to find the 5-letter words (in English) of which RightWord presents the first letter. You can either play alone or against an opponent, on the same computer or via a network.There's also a factor of luck that makes the game even more attractive, which has to do with 'drawing numbers' and achieving the word 'RIGHT' as column, row or diagonal in a colored bingo board. Further, there are so-called 'red balls' to change the course of the game. The program can import 5-letter words from any text to extend its dictionary. RightWord is shareware.  HyperKeyboard is a versatile HyperCard Melody Scripting Tool that should reside in your HyperCard folder. It enables you to make compositions and process them any way you like: Compress or convert a melody line, replace the sound or even modify key, octave and duration. Put finalized compositions into a play list. Edit them afterwards or install them onto another HyperCard stack.Two special facilities, 'Auto Compression' and 'Test Import of Sound Resources', make HyperKeyboard stand out against other melody scripting tools based on HyperTalk. |  Weight OK? is a HyperCard color stack that checks your weight and comments on it.Enter your weight and height to have your Body Mass Index calculated. |  CleanRecentItems takes care of an error in Mac OS 8.5 or 8.6 that makes the Recent Items folder being overloaded by a huge number of aliases in the course of time. This causes an unreasonable delay when calling up an Open or Save dialog supported by Navigation Services, because the system has to find the 10 most recent items out of several hundreds (or more) for display in the Recent popup menu.CleanRecentItems sets a default limit of 50 for the number of items stored in the Recent Items folder. CleanRecentItems can only be used - and is only useful - with Mac OS 8.5 or 8.6. CleanRecentItems is freeware. Download link for English version:

|  ChangeLabel is an AppleScript script to give all files in a folder a colored label. You can choose any of the standard label colors or you can choose blank (no color). You can also decide if files in nested folders should be labeled as well.It's recommended to put this script in your Scripts folder where the other Finder scripts reside. Then you can run it from the AppleScript menu in the menu bar. ChangeLabel is freeware. Download link (only English version):

All applications are distributed as a compressed file (.sit). You need StuffIt Expander 5.0 or later to extract the downloaded file. It's most likely you have it, but if you don't then get a free copy at Allume Systems. |
