Preface
Edwin Eugene Aldrin Jr. is a remarkable man. He actually made history. At the end of 1969, Aldrin and Armstrong both were destined to become famous all over the world. Unlike other important travellers like Heemskerck and Barentsz, they didn't become famous as a couple. Armstrong, who actually set foot on the earth's moon for the first time in human history, was and will be the only one to be mentioned in this matter.
Aldrin and Collins (who never landed on the moon) maybe even more, both were disappointed because of the attention they didn't receive as much as Armstrong did.
Aldrin always wanted to become an astronaut and actually fulfilled this wish. In his NASA career he accomplished a lot. This includes two space flights. One of them (Gemini 12) included EVA. The other included setting foot on the moon.
I am impressed by his life. Because I think he deserves more attention and to honour his life, I dedicate this site to him.
