Before using Scout's game, be sure that your equiment meets the requirements:

  • a mouse

  • Windows 9x or Windows NT/2000

  • Winsock support
    Winsock is a network programming interface for Microsoft Windows which is based on the "socket" paradigm popularized in the Berkeley Software Distribution (BSD) from the University of California at Berkeley. Programs like Trumpet Winsock or Tropic TCP/IP support this interface. When you are able to work with for example Netscape, then Scout's game should also work on your system.
    Scout's game does not support the use of firewalls!a system that is able to run Windows 3.1/Windows for Workgroups 3.11, Windows 95 or Windows NT

It is desirable to have ICQ 98 installed. This program makes it very easy to find other Scout's Game players.
