interactive installation/environment, photography, audio, 2011
'Air' is based upon 942 photographes of sky and a small strip of rooftops. Interaction is based on surrounding environmental sounds audible inside. The work concretizes the connection between individual(s), space, images and surrounding sounds. Visitors slowly become aware of their own part. The more noise, the less image, leaving the visitor confronted with the bare space and the self, eachother.Location: art-space Argument ( Tilburg, NL)

Curious about why the title is 'Air' and not 'Sky'?
At the opening-night Steven Ten Thije, curator at van Abbemuseum NL, shared his view on 'Air' ( oktober 29, 2011).
During the finissage ( november 20, 2011) several interactions took place:Frans van Hout ( poetry), sound artist Ton Vermeulen, Leonie Kuipers* (dance / performance) and Julia Boix-Vives** ( performance).
