The new location of MAD in the Strijp-S area inspires to develop more connections and cooperate with architects, electronics and software developers, designers and other creative people.

As a new member of Upgrade! I have enjoyed the get together symposium of the INC with a lot of international members of the Upgrade network and many other networks during Winter Camp in Amsterdam.

Image Radio 2008 was a great event packed with art, interaction, performance and presentations. Many people enjoyed and participated, thanks to a great team and many much appreciated sponsors.

Visits to Transmediale (Berlin), Sonic Acts (Amsterdam), The Mobile City (Rotterdam) have been inspiring and informative. Not much time to reflect because much time is needed for the Image Radio 2008 organization.

The logo design of ICT Brabant has been rewarded by the Graphis Gold Award 2007! The logo was also part of an installation by Kim Schoenstadt in Van Abbemuseum Eindhoven.

The Creative Challenge Call project of MAD: ETAC (emerging technology & art carousel) has been successfully completed with a concluding conference on December 19, 2007. In the Witte Dame Eindhoven we were guest of Philips Design, and presented the project publication ETAC. Video: CityTV

The first weekend of November I was director of Image Radio festival: new media in public space. Interactive and generated video- and computer-art in 7 locations in Eindhoven center, and symposium on the future of Urban Screens. Read all about it >imageradio.nl

During Dutch Design Week October 2007, Grafico de Poost participated in the Holy TAC project "Altar Ego" with an installation "Rad van Fortuin Cave" about the absurdity of consumer culture.

As from the academic year 2007-2008 I have resigned being a member of the staff of the Department of Industrial Design of the Technical University Eindhoven, due to lack of time, alas!

July 1 the Via Ventose Fesival was organized by TAC. I participated with the SOSeindhoven installation. A sign of 15 x 40 meters was constructed on the roof of the TAC building, stating "S.O.S." to viewers from above.

On may 10 I co-organised a symposium on sustainable and climate-friendly living (housing). A number of specialists discussed on urgent matters, moderated by Els Keytsman. To be witnessed still on City TV. All info on dkww.dse.nl

I visited Boston Cyberarts Festival 2007. Several presentations were visited, and a lot of contacts were made regarding exchange and cooperation – focusing on art & technology – between Boston and Eindhoven.

As a result of being active on environmental issues, I was appointed member of the Task Force Luchtkwaliteit (air quality) of Waalre.

A new board of MAD has been established, adding three new members. Chairman now is Mary Ann Schreurs. Gerard Verhoogt has been appointed secretary, and Mario van Horrik is a new member of the board.
Jan Willem Renders and Wim van der Plas stay in function. My new function is now coordinator/director of MAD.

The cultural education of Eindhovens' youth from age 12 is promoted and stimulated by the renewed organization. CultuurXpres, formerly CSPe, with an all new designed website, brochure etc.

MAD was awarded the CCC project called ETAC - Emerging Technology & Art Carousel by EZ/OCW. This 'Creative Challenge Call' project will also be presented on the Brabant Innovation event 'WOW' on February 6, Brussels.

After Grafico de Poost producing the flabbergasting book Ambient Lifestyle for Philips Research (commercial distribution: BIS Publishers) it was successfully introduced to the market on the Bright Live event December 12 in Amsterdam.

The all new smart card for members of the Eindhoven Library was introduced this autumn, featuring our visionary design graphic.

The next generation of fiber-to-the-home network Ons Net Nuenen is about innovative yet down to earth applications: Ons Welzijn (our well being). Visuals, styling and concepts starts with this 'connected' logo:

For the Brainport Eindhoven information point in the Public Library a new concept, name and logo is developed: Brainwave

On march 16, 2006 I have been installed as member of the council of the city of Waalre, for GroenLinks.
