Art Space: Society of the Spectacle (a digital remix)
A media art installation has been shown in the new expozone of the public library Eindhoven.


Is a ten minute-DVD-art-sequence utilizing source material from text, images, recordings and other psycho-geographicals jump of the strue-Situationist Guy Debord.

The work has been composed by members of DJRABBI, a digital art collective of political activists. It consist of visual remises by Rick Silva alias Cuechamp, A sound collage by Trace Reddell alias the pHarmanaut, and original subtitles by Mark Amerika alias Kid Hassid.
The artist have filtered the icons, concepts and strategies by an eclectic mix of modern software and Net Art ideologies, concept whereby the ‘society of the spectacle’ is being held hostage by ‘being virtual’.

"[SOS] is a furious collage of black and white images (and sudden flarings of color) and theory-saturated subtitles that you can only grasp at as they roll by, occasionally recognize, and go with the odd beauty of their flow.
