Art Space: Society of the Spectacle (a digital remix)
In de nieuwe expozone in de Openbare Bibliotheek Eindhoven werd een Mediakunst installatie getoond.


Is een tien-minuten DVD kunst-sequentie die gebruik maakt van bronmateriaal uit de teksten, beelden, opnamen en andere psycho-geografische zijsprongen van de oer-Situationist Guy Debord.
Het werk is gecomponeerd door leden van DJRABBI, een digitale kunst collectief van politieke activisten, bestaande uit visuele remixen van Rick Silva alias Cuechamp, de geluidscollages van Trace Reddell alias the pHarmanaut, en originele ondertitels van Mark Amerika alias Kid Hassid.
De kunstenaars filteren de iconen, concepten en strategieën van de Situationisten, door een eclectische mix van hedendaagse software en Net Art ideologie, een denkraam waarin de ‘society of the spectacle’ gegijzeld wordt door ‘een virtueel zijn’.
