The family tree of the Family Arts/Aerts starts with the ancestor Arnoldus Jacobs (Aerts) and his wife Justina, who lived about 1570 "at the Hiept" (an hamlet near Venray (NL), a small town nowadays). The complete summary contains more than 1700 persons, divided into 15 generations. Nowadays the members of our family Arts/Aerts appears in different districts of Holland (for example in Merselo, Venray, Overloon, Venlo, Eindhoven, Arcen, Velden, Geleen, Sittard), but they live also in Canada and the United States (Wisconsin). At this page you can find a table of contents of this homepage.
At this site you can see a short family tree (pedigree) of my family. I'm still working on it, but here is the beginning! Tips, suggestions and comments are welcome.

The book about our family is published

After a lot years of hard work I proudly present here my book "Op reis van heden naar verleden" (on travel from the present to the past) regarding 400 years family Arts-Aerts. If you are interested to have this book, please contact me. The book is written in Dutch and contains the whole pedigree of the family Arts-Aerts and a lot of photographs and background stories and information. It counts 242 pages.

If you are interested in an English version of my book, please also contact me. If I find a (free) translator of the main pages of my book and I have several people who have interests to buy an English version, maybe I will consider to publish a special English version of my book in the future.

Newborn News

No newborn family member is been reported to me.

Not everything is completed, so I'm still searching. Maybe you can help me along. Every tip or clue is welcome. This also considers these pages on the internet. Every improvement is useful.

I'm also still looking for Photo-material (photos of marriage, household, houses), "In Memoriam"-cards, documents, certificates of birth, marriage and death, et cetera, (or copies), related to my family. If you got something for me, please let me know first. In case of desire I will return your photos, cards and documents after reproduction. Undamaged of course and as soon as possible.
