New Collaboration
Amir and Max Corbacho, a Spanish ambient composer, performer, have began their first collaboration at the end of 2002. The music will be in the middle of both styles of the artists. It sounds already as first class ambient music! More info soon.

from both artists. The brandnew cd has been mastered at the Bluebox studio
between 5 and 19 December 2002. At this moment the artists are selecting

Soundtrack "Searching"
Amir will compose the soundtrack for the new film "Searching", directed by Ashwini Malik and written by Ashwini Malik and Steve Piper. A 35mm colourfilm planned to shoot in India and England. For more details click this link.
Soundtrack "Try Again"
Amir composed succesfully the music for the short film "Try Again" of filmmaker Eric Wolfram. The collaboration between Eric and Amir will be continued in the near future.
New releases
Out now is the new solo cd of Amir Baghiri Yalda, released by the Polish recordlabel Vivo Records. Yalda is the Persian name for the darkest and longest night in the year, it is related to a celebrationnight with old Persian ceremonies.
This music on this cd is mostly very rhythmical, many hot grooves, with a lot of agressive hand played percussion and other Middle-east ethnical instrumentation like rababa, oud and ney.
A new trip in the mystic and hidden world of the modern experimental Middle-east soundworlds.
The
releasedate of the new solo cd of Amir Baghiri Exosphere, to be
released by Neuronium Records
is not yet known. This purely atmospheric soundstructure contains more
than 77 min of sound experiences with a lot of mystical and invisibale
innerscapes, minimalistic spaces
with a hypnotic relaxing effect but also very complex created soundscapes
by using hybrid electronic & native acoustic instruments mixed with
processed nature atmos in a very subtle way.
Dreamresources, Amir's brand new CD, has been released on September 21 before his impressive concert at E-Live 2002 in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. In that concert Amir proved again to belong to the top of ambient artists, what was heard afterwards in the comments of the audience. Amir is working on a new project: "Sources", with quiet, minimal music with very warm basic structures. Sources become a collection of different works, which consist of several cd's. The first cd in this series "Dreamresources" has been released by Neuronium Records on 21 September 2002. Soundtrack "Tremble " for Warhorse Films
Amir has succesfully composed the soundtrack for the new horror drama "Tremble" from the U.S. film production's company Warhorsefilms. It was a lot of hard work but also a great inspirative experience for him. The full score took at about 32 tracks in 168 min audiotracks at the end. The Amir Baghiri Video Project
Music video project currently in development, planned to shoot over Autumn and Winter 2002 by Steve Piper a talented independent UK-filmmaker. Steve will make a film for a music track of Amir Baghiri.
New Collaboration: Once Arrow
Amir forms a new transcontinental collaborative project with Kit Watkins the famous musician who played once in the famous band "Camel" Kit Watkins lives in the USA. Project name will be Once Arrow. Both artists are enthusiastic about producing several recordings in the tribal-ambient-jazz and world-fusion genres.
First series: Amir Baghiri Private Archive Series One: Unreleased, totaly digital remastered archive material from albums Cages, Time, Autumn and Sleep.
Second series: Amir Baghiri Chronicles: totaly digital mastered archive material from original passed releases from old analogue times. Most pieces were made in Iran and some were released as MC and LP.

New Collaboration
Amir explores a new direction in music in the collaboration with Vanessa Lowe ( the talented US singer, guitar player, songwriter and composer). Both artists have been working on this project for more than 7 months with a great effort, which can be heard in the result. Vanessa has already made several fantastic solo albums, although both musicworlds of the artists differ a lot, the magic and creative music of this collaboration certainly will impress all fans of Vanessa and Amir. The Bluebox lable i.c. Gabriele von Hardenberg is preparing a medium-large EM-festival in Germany.
